Faculty and departments

At Montpellier Business School, the faculty is at the heart of the interrelationship between teaching, cutting-edge research and business relations. This relationship enables our research, which is recognised for its quality by international standards of excellence (publications in the international frameworks of excellence at all levels), to be innovative but also to have direct implications on companies as well as civil society. These close ties also make it possible for participants in our various educational programmes to be in touch with the realities of the business world.

Montpellier Business School’s faculty comprises of more than 100 professors, ranging from the Assistant Professor who teaches and supervises students to the Full Professor. The faculty is highly qualified (PhDs, Doctorates in Management Sciences, Economics, Finance, Marketing and Management in particular) and very international (more than 40% of the faculty are foreigners. In addition, each year, Montpellier Business School participates in the training of a dozen doctoral students registered at the University of Montpellier. The “core research faculty” includes more than 70 professor-researchers publishing cutting-edge research in peer-reviewed journals, books, case studies etc.

Our faculty in the broadest sense is enriched by about thirty Affiliated Professors whose efforts are occur in the field of research as well as in the teaching and career development of our students. Visiting professors and post-docs from renowned national and foreign universities also teach and conduct research with our faculty. Finally, Montpellier Business School relies on strong relationships with the business world, via its major partners, who also contribute to teaching in the forms of conferences, seminars and guest lectures. More than one hundred external lecturers who are professional experts in their fields, provide in depth training on the different aspects of business.  

The diverse nature of our faculty, coupled with the external lecturers and their collaborative efforts to develop excellence and innovation in teaching and knowledge production contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of our teaching, research and allows us to enrich our vision. The high level of expertise and quality disseminated in the different programmes offered at Montpellier Business School is recognised by three international accreditations (AACSB, EPAS, and AMBA). Class teachings are supported by research and best practises in all fields of management in the international business environment.
