Wine business

The wine industry is becoming increasingly important in France and worldwide. Nowadays, global wine production is both artisanal and traditional (family firms, small wine businesses) and industrial (wine dealers, wine co-operatives or international groups). The globalization of the wine market has become increasingly significant. The professionals of wine sector must innovate to compete, in particular, with New World wines.

This research group focuses on the topic of wine business by studying wine industry from a managerial perspective. All issues related to this area including the entrepreneurial, strategic, marketing and financial aspects of wine firms are covered by this group. It also focuses on wine as an asset for financial investment.

Current projects include:
- Strategic innovation.
- Study of wine consumers behavior.
- Design and communication in the wine sector.
- The role of wine as an investment asset in a financial portfolio.
- The financial impact of co-opetitive strategies on Languedoc-Roussillon vineyards.
- Family firm strategies in the wine industry.
- Wine trade.
