The IECER Conference is in Montpellier this year

The Interdisciplinary European Conference on Entrepreneurial Research (IECER) is one of the most important international conferences in the entrepreneur world. Founded in 2003, the conference is held once a year, with between 50 to 70 participants from more than 15 countries. It is known for its selectivity and is perceived to be a scientific forum of the highest quality. It will begin with one of the world’s most well-known entrepreneur specialists, Professor Dr. David Audretsch.

After the larger European cities, it will take place from the 25th to the 27th February on the Montpellier Business School campus with the theme Entrepreneurship & The Digital Age – Towards a New Way of Venturing. It’s organised by professor Dr. Frank Lasch, member of Montpellier Recherche en Management and professors Dr. Annabelle Jaouen, Kathrine Gundolf and Frank Robert, leaders of the LabEx scheme “Entrepreneurship and Innovation”. To remind you, in 2011, with the help of Montpellier 1 & 2 Universities, SupAgro and Montpellier Business School, this project put together 6 labs for research into rights, economy, and management, and it’s specialisation in entrepreneurship was given a ‘Grade A’ by LabEx’s jury of international evaluation, and it remains the only “Laboratoire d’Excellence” dedicated to entrepreneurship in France focused on future investments.

“We’re very proud that Montpellier has been chosen; this organisation will help draw more attention to the research activities and teaching of Management in Montpellier and its strategic research hubs. It also highlights a more dynamic region in terms of business creation and support, and values its excellent entrepreneurial hub, which is consistent with the European funding offered in this area of politics” says Dr. Frank Lasch.
