“BOOSTE ton alternance.” - 4 seminars dedicated to helping you find a contract

The guidance advisors of Montpellier Business School, specialists in HR and recruitment, have just finished off 4 seminars focused on coaching final year students to help them find a sandwich course contract for 2015-2016. In total, in Paris, Lyon and Montpellier, more than 200 students were trained to refine their CV, their way of finding a contract, and their technical ability to sell themselves as a package. The support continues now through individual maintenance.

The sandwich course for Bac+5 at Montpellier Business School is open to all students, no matter their original course. It’s a fantastic tool with regards to diversity and equal opportunities as it allows students to gain experience in the workplace, without giving up their studies and all the while earning a salary.

“Throughout the day, we’ve met sandwich course students in the final year and graduates who have come to tell us about their journeys in numerous sectors and roles (distribution, logistics, trading, project management…). It’s reassuring to see that the sandwich course students today were just like us now when they were looking for contracts. You see that technical abilities aren’t necessarily the most important things, but rather it’s a person’s personality, their motivation, their uniqueness, that becomes the determining factor. We’ve enjoyed training on personal branding and on how to get the most out of social networking, and we’ve worked in small groups on our ‘elevator pitches’. At the end of the day, we feel a lot more confident in our abilities that we’ve picked up during our year abroad and our year in work experience!” Says Aurélien.

A large number of them are still working on the realisation of their professional projects. “The aim of these sessions is to help the students get to know themselves and their abilities better and to give them a better perspective of the market for graduates with experience so that they can expand their professional horizons,” says Laurence Flinois, head of sandwich course support. “The greatest strength of Montpellier Business School is its close relationship with all of its students. We’re all concerned about helping them succeed. I’d of course like to thank all my teams, but also all the sandwich course students and graduates who help us make this possible every year.”
