Coralie, graduated in 2013, is the winner of the scholarship “young entrepreneur 2015” of the Montpellier BS Foundation

The Montpellier Business School Foundation with the support of the Fondation de France, along with its commitment to equal opportunities, has a mission every year to award a young graduate entrepreneur from Montpellier Business School. Amongst the projects submitted during the course of its establishment was the start-up Rock’n Joy, managed by Coralie Haas who graduated in 2013 from the grande école master’s programme and her cofounder, Marine Décot.

During the award ceremony for the scholarship and the awarding of a cheque for €10,000, Christophe Daubié, president of the Foundation paid tribute to the professionalism, creativity and dynamism of the two women who presented the case file. Although she is still under a confidentiality agreement, Coralie did speak a bit more about it “This project is a work in progress but what we can tell you is that we will launch our activity during the last term of 2015 at Montpellier. We will promote Made in France, the richness of our territory in terms of creation and our local partners. Although the market which we see is national, we wish to keep the conception and manufacture in Montpellier so as to create added value for our region”

Coralie graduated in 2013 from the Grand Ecole Master’s Programme of Montpellier Business School, majoring in Management Control. Even very early on in her course, she was thinking of the economy of the local area. She was also behind the creation of the student association Gaïa, linked to social, economic and environmental responsibility, and launched the distribution of the first baskets of organic fruit and vegetables to students and staff.

In alternation during her final year as Financial Controller in the Languedoc Mutualité Group, it was during a festive event that she decided to throw herself into the creation of a 2.0 concept with Marine, her friend of over 10 years. “We became aware that there was no 2.0 available on the market to personalise the decoration and atmosphere of a festive event such as a marriage or birthday. We therefore wanted to provide complete eco-friendly and personalised solutions. We are very honoured and happy to be the winners of the “young entrepreneur” scholarship of the Montpellier Business School Foundation and we thank again all of the executive committee for their welcome, their attention and their support. We also thank Montpellier Business School for this opportunity, the supervision and support that it gives to students but also to graduates,” declared Coralie and Marine during the scholarship award ceremony for business creation.
