Sandra is in the air! Master student in apprenticeship at Air France, Sandra’s mission is to control the quality of the business lounges at Roissy airport

At 25 years old, Sandra Boulghobra finishes her final year of Master’s degree in apprenticeship at Montpellier Business School. Product Manager Assistant at Air France, in the airport located in Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle and she is responsible for the quality control of food products in the business lounges of the airline company. Because as she tells us: « You can work for Air France without having a job related to airplanes. There are many other unexpected jobs! ».

« I have always been attracted by the hotel, tourism and catering industry. Before joining the Master Grande Ecole program of Montpellier Business School, I did a two-year diploma specialized in the hotel and catering sector », she says. « After a second academic year in England at Staffordshire University which is a partner university, I did an internship at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at the Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport. I could see each day airplanes landing and taking off! Then I simply sent my application to a job offer at air France. I have been hired as a Product Manager Assistant for the airline company’s lounges in … Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle! My job is to control the quality of the catering service in the business lounges of the airline company. I also participate in the daily product tasting sessions to make sure everything is well in line with Air France’s specificities. It's part of my missions. As it is to meet clients coming from all over the world. It is a dream atmosphere and I often want to get on the plane! (Laughs) ».

Sandra is of course delighted with this experience in this national company. « Air France empowers its apprentices with interesting tasks, a lot of trust and training. We are well supervised and considered, it is a very nice company to work in. They also ask us to be proactive. Margaux, which is another apprentice student of Montpellier Business School and who is in charge of the quality control for the catering on long-haul flights, shares the same feeling as me. We often exchange together on the advantages we have by working there. »

Sandra imagines herself very well working for this company in the future. « My contract ends in October but I would love to stay at Air France. But before that, I have a Purchasing and Supply Chain Management specialization to follow, a memory to validate and I finally have to obtain my Master’s degree! For the rest, it does not depend on me but I want to progress and become indispensable ».
