Mathilde, graduate student from Montpellier BS found the perfect company: Extia!

Mathilde Blanchardon, 23 years-old who graduated in 2015 from Montpellier BS, has just joined Extia, a consulting firm as a Business Engineer. Founded in 2007, Extia is growing exponentially and has now reached 800 employees in 8 years! Ranked in the Great Place to Work® ranking since 2012, Extia has a culture that promotes continuous improvement and entrepreneurship, that is what Mathilde liked!

« During my studies at Montpellier BS, I wanted have a first experience in a multinational to understand the processes of a large group and quickly develop my skills. To do so, I joined Unilever for 2 years for my apprenticeship and was Digital Marketing Project Manager on all Unilever brands. I really liked it even though I knew that I would prefer to work in a smaller and agile structure, where it is easier to participate in the decision-making and contribute to the development of the company », she said.

Mathilde is really dynamic, curious and she likes to share her ideas with the others. After graduation, she decided to look for « the great place for her to work » and she discovered Extia, 6th company in France where it feels good to work. After some research on Linkedin, Mathilde found out that other Montpellier BS graduates already work there.

She didn’t hesitate to use the school’s network and contacted Benoit Fortuné, 2010 graduate, who gave her CV to a Human Resources consultant. Mathilde’s personality fitted really well with the company’s profile and this is very important for them because at Extia, they look at the candidate’s personality before the skills that they have. Mathilde joined the company as a Business Engineer. A job that requires many different competences: commercial awareness but also management, recruitment, entrepreneurship skills are necessary to take on the daily challenges they have to face.

« When I met the HR team, I new that it wasn’t a company like any other. They are focused on the human side and it is a value that I share. The employee’s average age is 29 years and it is a real community. All the employees are involved in the integration of each new comer. We usually meet for a theme party once a year, this annual event gathers the 800 employees of the group. This year it will be at Asterix theme park which will be privatized for the event! This start-up spirit associated with a participative management brings a nice dynamic in the teams. And I am delighted to be part of it! » she said.
