« Royal Canin (Mars Group) owes its strength to its participative culture! » Marc-Antoine, apprenticeship student of Montpellier BS

The 2016 Great Place to Work ranking has just been published and the Mars Group France is ranked at the 2nd position. Marc-Antoine Benzoni, 29 years-old and second-year master’s student, has joined the Mars group in January, more specifically the brand Royal Canin as an innovation co-driver. He tells us how this experience is going and the strengths of the participative culture of this group, partner of Montpellier BS.

« The Mars group has a strong culture based on the involvement of each co-worker », explains Marc-Antoine with enthusiasm. « The managers expect us to share our opinions and convictions. Each co-worker has an important role in his service and this is rewarding. We feel that our opinions are taken into account and valued. We are surrounded by a positive energy and I take this opportunity to thank my manager, Aymeric Du Peloux because he is at the origin of this management style based on trust and sharing, without forgetting Mrs Olivia Rouveyrol-Zanni my tutor, who gives me more and more responsibilities and whose precious feedback helps me being a competent co-worker, and Pierre-Alexandre Yves District, for his guidance and how he allows me to improve myself daily. I am happy that we are at the second position in the ranking of the companies where it feels good to work. The Mars Group who owns the company Royal Canin, has five principles: responsibility, mutuality, freedom, quality and efficiency. Just to tell you, on the day of my recruitment, the HR manager welcomed me in his office and … his dog was there. Know that here, all employees can sponsor a dog, take him to the office and end up adopting it. It's just amazing! »

Marc-Antoine has an unusual background. « I am a former restaurant owner and hold a two-years diploma in customer relationship and negotiation! I did an internship at Royal Canin and then I was able to sign an apprenticeship contract for my last master’s year. I have a transversal role between three sales channels: veterinarians, professionals and outlets. I have to provide relevant indicators to managers to help them manage their activity. This mainly concerns new products and there are between 10 and 15 every year. The co-driver has to monitor the performance of all these products to see if they are in line with the group's vision or not and measure differences between predictions and reality. This allows to adapt or develop the product later on. »

Montpellier Business School congratulate the Mars Group France, his partner and of course his other Partner, Decathlon, for its 4th position in the same ranking.
