“Their report confirms our strategy and give us new tracks” Back on the 4th edition of StratMe’Up program through solutions brought by 4 MBS students to the company MarNostra.

This week, the session of StratMe’Up work submission mobilized 695 students of Master 2 in apprenticeship splitted in 126 groups, 45 coach-teachers and 81 business CEOs. These executives specially came on MBS campus to listen, comment and exchange about their problematics and the solutions available. Let’s take an example with Lorène, Morgane, Mustafa and Driss who passed their defense in front of executives from the company MarNostra.

StratMe’Up is a program of Montpellier Business School which purpose is to offer free help to companies located in the region, this year Strat Me Up counts 121 companies and associations. Mr. David Cier, Manager of MarNostra and Mr. Julian Escriva, Commercial and Marketing responsible, give us their feedback after this first experience with students from Montpellier Business School. “Our activity is the production and negotiation of sea products in Frontignan (34). Our company is young and is characterized by an off-shore production rather than in pond. Our purpose is to stand out with an innovative marketing strategy. So, the students had to find a way to attract new customers in a very traditional market.”

“When I learned the existence of this program, I saw our common interest at once” Mr. David Cier says. “I found the students very mature, involved, interested and our exchanges have been very good since November. Their final report is very positive and we have also brought some constructive remarks to help them improve themselves. Finally, their report confirms our strategy and gives us also some work tracks to examine as the importance of the customer experience.  So, thanks to Lorène, Morgane, Mustafa and Driss and the all team of StratMe’Up because we intend to renew the experience next year!”

Relieved and proud of the work done after their defense, the group of students gives a full description of their work method. “I think there was a very good team cohesion with a lot of communication between us and common thinking” Lorène says. “Of course, we have also worked with the company to be clear about the way to follow. Our coach, the professor Cédrine Joly, helped us at the beginning to clearly structure the problematic and delimit the topic. The framework is important for us because we are noted!”

“Finally, we gave them many advises as, for instance, a targeted communication strategy to BtoB or BtoC market and products segmentation.” Morgane says. “We discovered the consulting function as well as a new sector of activity and I think that we enjoyed this direct relationship with the company. It was very actual and the idea was to bring gains to a company from the region with our knowledges, our experience and our vision. After the defense, I also found very interesting that they shared with us their new ideas and they listened of our opinion about these ideas. We will surely stay in touch because they want to open an oyster bar and they invited us for the opening!”
