The Bachelor Programme offers the opportunity to follow a general curriculum focusing on international affairs, and resulting in an AACSB-accredited Bachelor of International Business Administration, but also a course (Bachelor or equivalent) at a foreign partner university in the field of international affairs, and the Degree in “Science and Technology Management” from the University of Montpellier (validation by equivalence).

This curriculum, combining compulsory and optional content, helps you to succeed academically and effectively build your future career. You can join the Bachelor Programme in the first, second or third year.

• The final year of study can be carried out either with student status or work-study status.

• The curriculum allows you to develop interdisciplinary business and marketing expertise, ensuring that some or all business challenges are covered, depending on the size of the company. Graduating with the French state qualification certifies a range of professional skills, including knowledge of operational business management, economics, geopolitics and social responsibility, plus specific knowledge relating to four broad areas:

I. Marketing
– Carrying out market and competition research
– Assessing marketing activities and proposing corrective action and areas for development

II. Sales force
– Preparing an action plan for the geographic area concerned in accordance with the company’s overall strategy and corporate values
– Developing the  trading activity in the geographic area concerned and in accordance with the company’s overall strategy and corporate values
– Managing the commercial actions of the geographic area according to objectives
– Setting up and coordinating commercial and regulatory monitoring

III. Team coordination and support
– Setting up technical support for the sales teams
– Motivating the operational sales teams in terms of the company’s strategy and values
– Organising/coordinating the work

IV. Administration and people management
– Identifying staffing and recruitment needs in accordance with the non-discrimination law
– Identifying training needs
– Implementing the training programme in accordance with the relevant law
– Carrying out administrative and budgetary monitoring

• Throughout the programme, you will accumulate between 6 and 20 months of business experience, with the mandatory internship in the first year, the year in a company and the third-year internship concluding the Programme, to which can be added any optional internship months that you choose to undertake.

• Two pathways are offered: an international pathway and one focused specifically on business in Asia. The latter involves two full years in two different Chinese partner universities, ultimately graduating from one of these universities. Students selecting this pathway do not carry out the extended business internship.

• International element: 70% of students choose to carry out their internship abroad. 80% of Bachelor students obtain a second qualification from a foreign partner university. Those students who spend their year abroad in e-learning or blended learning on the Montpellier campus can graduate from the prestigious La Trobe University in Australia. La Trobe is ranked in the world’s top 400 universities by all three major ranking agencies: QS World University Rankings 2016-2017, Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2016-2017 and the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2016. La Trobe was also named in the QS Top 50 Under 50 2016-2017 list, ranking the world’s top universities under 50 years old..

• A support team is present at all times to monitor, advise and support students at every stage of their courses, from educational issues to internships, in France and abroad.

• Particular attention is also given to French language use.
